Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai

Specifically designed to resemble a wind-swept billowing sail, reflecting Dubai's ancient seafaring traditions, the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai soars to a height of 54 stories, dominating the Dubai coastline with its luminously prestigious presence. The ONLY 7-star rated hotel in the world, the Burj Al Arab Hotel is the true sophisticated traveler's dream. At night, it offers an unforgettable sight, surrounded by choreographed color sculptures of water and fire. This all-suite hotel reflects the finest that the world has to offer. It is indeed a spectacularly dramatic tribute to the region's seafaring heritage.

Combining the latest technology with a long-standing reputation of Arabian hospitality, the Burj Al Arab Hotel symbolizes the very essence of Dubai. It embraces the best of the new alongside the "fit for true royalty" traditions of the past. Individual service and attention to each and every last detail are paramount at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, with a private reception area on each floor, as well as a butler service for every suite.

Six restaurants and lounges provide a variety of dining options at the Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai - from an underwater seafood restaurant called Al Mahara (accessible by a three minute simulated submarine voyage), to the heights of Al Muntaha, located on the top level of the hotel. The Burj Al Arab Hotel, Dubai also includes five other world-class restaurants ranging in themes (ballrooms) and prices. Many of the hotel’s sumptuous facilities have a women or men only policy, meaning there may be specific times when only one of the two sexes are allowed in an area (though they also have men and women centered themed spas).

The Assawan Spa & Health Club, located on the 18th floor of the Burj Al Arab Hotel Hotel allows guest to enjoy spectacular views from the pools, Jacuzzi, spas, therapy rooms, and aerobics workout studios. Three fully equipped conference rooms are situated on the 27th floor, as are two Arabic and Western decorated boardrooms with seating for twenty. The gold domed Al Falak Ballroom is multi-functional and can be configured for a 200-person lunch or dinner, or alternatively accommodate 400 people for cocktails.

As you approach the Burj Al Arab Hotel its distinctive features cut a sharp edge through the tan sandy surroundings. Standing on a manmade island just 180 feet shorter than the Empire State Building— and retaining the well-deserved title as the tallest standing hotel in the world— the main structure appears to billow in the wind, beckoning guests to come and experience the finest that life has to offer those who can afford it. Each of the 202 duplex suites are an architectural dream. Details such as granite from Brazil, and marble and glass from Italy, and the finest Irish linens are painstakingly gathered here to paint a picture of luxurious excess. Each suite comes with wall-to-wall views of the gulf, and the latest in television and technological additions. There are 164 one-bedroom, 28 two-bedroom, and six three-bedroom suites available for your comfort. And that's just the low end.

The Burj Al Arab Hotel also has a higher (if possible) standard of comfort in rooms available. Two Grand Suites and Two Special Suites top the Everest of comforts found throughout the world's hotels. Each suite is spread out over 2340 square feet, and each of them contains two floors connected with elevators. The perks include rotating beds, private cinemas, private Mosques, and bedroom sized changing rooms. The most expensive room runs about $7,000 a night. Needless to say, the hotel has become a main attraction for the city. People lucky enough to stay overnight will never feel the same about comfort again.
